Job Description
Mitigation Technician – Rytech Restoration of Rock Hill
At Rytech Restoration of Rock Hill, every day brings new challenges, new customers to help, and new opportunities to grow your skills in the restoration industry. As a Mitigation Technician, you're on the front lines of water and fire damage recovery-helping families and businesses return to normal.
What Your Day Looks Like
Your morning starts by reviewing daily job assignments through MICA or Mitigate software to ensure you're fully prepared. You'll load essential equipment-air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters, PPE, and tools-and perform quick vehicle safety checks before heading to the first site.
Once on location, you'll greet customers with professionalism, walk them through the mitigation process, and conduct detailed inspections using moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras. You'll document findings in real time so our team and the customer stay informed every step of the way.
Your hands-on work includes:
- Water extraction using professional equipment
- Setting and monitoring drying systems
- Removing soot, cleaning surfaces, and applying odor treatments for fire losses
- Performing controlled demolition when needed (drywall, flooring, etc.)
- Safely using hand tools and power tools
Throughout the day, you'll follow IICRC WRT standards, update job progress in mitigation software, and maintain high-quality documentation for insurance compliance.
At the end of your shift, you'll clean and load equipment, finalize paperwork, and coordinate with the office to prepare for the next day's assignments.
Does This Sound Like You?
To thrive as a Mitigation Technician at Rytech Restoration of Rock Hill, you should bring:
- IICRC WRT Certification
