Job Description Summary

In this role, you will serve as a Program Manager supporting Outage Engineering, with primary responsibility for the Outage Scope system platform integration and as the AI feature focal for the organization. You will partner closely with global Outage Engineering, IT, Heavy Duty Services Engineering, Product Service, and cross functional stakeholders to drive platform adoption and integration, feature delivery, and continuous improvement of outage scoping capabilities.Leveraging your knowledge of combined cycle / gas turbine outage processes, outage planning workflows, and engineering best practices, you will translate engineering needs into scalable IT and AI enabled solutions. This role plays a critical part in improving outage productivity, technical scope quality, cycle time, cost avoidance, and customer value through standardized processes, analytics, and intelligent tooling.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as Program Manager for the Outage Scoping Platform, owning feature creation, roadmap execution, prioritization, budget management and delivery in alignment with Outage Engineering needs
  • Act as AI feature focal for Outage Engineering, coordinating requirements, use cases, validation, and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities supporting outage scoping and decision-making
  • Lead cross functional planning and execution with Outage Engineering, IT, Heavy-duty Services Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Multi-year agreement Risk, Design COE, and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate outage scoping and planning discussions to ensure platform capabilities align with real outage scoping/feedbacks and engineering best practices
  • Translate engineering, operational, and outage productivity needs into clear program requirements and user stories for IT and AI development teams
  • Support data driven outage scope recommendations by enabling the use of analytics, operational history, fleet issues, and reliability insights within the OSA platform
  • Drive platform adoption, cross system integration and change management, including communication, training support, and feedback loops with regional and site teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve outage productivity, cycle time, and cost through new tools, AI features, and process enhancements
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of new system and AI features with IT to ensure quality, reliability, and engineering acceptance
  • Monitor program performance, risks, and dependencies; proactively remove obstacles to delivery
  • Integrate LEAN, simplification, and continuous improvement principles into program execution and platform evolution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, outage planning, and/or technical program management
  • 2 years of experience working with gas turbines, combined cycle power plants, or turbomachinery-related engineering workflows

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of outage planning, outage scoping, or outage execution processes
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating across matrixed, global organizations, including IT teams
  • Fluent English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Experience and passionate working with IT platforms, analytics tools, or AI enabled solutions in an engineering or operational context
  • Ability to connect technical details, operational data, and business outcomes into a clear, comprehensive narrative
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across engineering, IT, and leadership teams
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Familiarity with reliability concepts, fleet analytics, or outage risk assessment (e.g., Weibull, reliability estimates, or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance engineering rigor and practical execution
  • Comfortable driving ambiguity into structure, plans, and actionable outcomes

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
