Job Description

LEAD PROTECTION AND CONTROL ENGINEER

Seeking Lead Protection and Control Engineer with high voltage (69 Kv or higher) experience. You will work with a leader in Engineering, Procurement and Construction specializing in the power industry. The ideal Engineer will have Power Network experience. We are looking for an individual to take on a lead role.

This Lead Protection and Control Engineer will focus on electrical protection and control activities which includes substations and switchyards, modifications, additions and upgrades to existing facilities.

Execution of complex protection and control projects for brownfield and greenfield power network
Expert in designing protection schemes and settings for substations equipment, including bus, line, capacitor and transformer protection.
Develop and improve processes for protection and control designs including one-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, relay panel drawings and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of SCADA
Supervise engineers
Perform independent audits and review of technical work
Preparation of proposals, estimates and provide input to scope documents and client presentations
Team leader able to solve complex issues and act as a lead engineer responsible for the quality of deliverables.
Collaborate with project managers, drafters, civil/structural engineers and field personnel
