The Opportunity

Responsible for leading and implementing quality improvement initiatives. This role involves collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to enhance patient safety, optimize healthcare delivery, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient safety and care outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
  • Analyze clinical and operational data to assess performance metrics and identify trends, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and conduct training programs for staff on quality improvement methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, ensuring that the hospital meets quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • 3+ years of experience in quality improvement, patient safety, or healthcare operations, preferably in a hospital setting.

  • Technical proficiency, preferably with Epic.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, such as Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA), Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Excellent analytical skills for interpreting data and identifying trends to inform improvement strategies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using quality improvement tools and software for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to lead training sessions and workshops for staff on quality improvement concepts.

Schedule and Work Model

  • Full time, Monday through Friday, standard business hours with flexibility to meet with leadership occasionally for early/late meetings.

  • Hybrid: Must be flexible to come into the office at One Brigham Circle in Boston up to 2 times per week.
