Job Description

AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Residential Construction Foreman to oversee high-end residential construction projects. This role is responsible for managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring construction activities meet quality, safety, and schedule expectations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supervising residential construction sites, understands building plans and specifications, and can effectively lead crews while maintaining strong communication with project managers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day field operations for residential construction projects
Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to maintain project schedules
Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
Ensure work is completed according to project plans, quality standards, and building codes
Monitor job site safety and enforce compliance with safety procedures
Track daily progress and report project updates to project management
Identify and resolve construction issues to avoid delays or rework
Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics to support project workflow
Maintain organized job site documentation and field reports

Requirements

5+ years of experience in residential construction or field supervision
Experience managing crews or subcontractors on residential construction sites
Strong understanding of residential building practices and construction sequencing
Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications
Knowledge of safety standards and job site compliance procedures
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain project timelines
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required

Preferred Experience

Experience working on custom homes or high-end residential projects
Background in carpentry or a skilled construction trade
Familiarity with project management or construction scheduling software
Experience coordinating multiple subcontractor trades on active job sites
