Our client, a respected and growing commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee field operations for a large-scale, multi-building residential construction community in South Florida.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven construction leader who excels in managing complex site logistics, multiple active work areas, phased construction schedules, and high-performing field teams while delivering projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Position Overview

The Lead Superintendent will oversee all day-to-day field operations across a multi-building residential development, including site logistics, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, safety, inspections, and project turnover.

Working closely with Project Managers and executive leadership, this individual will drive production, maintain accountability across all trades, and ensure each phase of construction progresses according to schedule and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations across multiple active construction areas.
• Manage site logistics, safety, housekeeping, and subcontractor coordination throughout all phases of construction.
• Develop and manage look-ahead schedules while implementing recovery plans when necessary.
• Coordinate inspections, quality control, benchmark work, and first-work verification.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and executive leadership on staffing, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain accountability for schedule, safety, production, and workmanship.
• Oversee project documentation, daily reports, punch lists, and turnover activities.
• Coordinate construction sequencing across multiple buildings while maintaining efficient workflow.
• Support the onboarding and integration of additional field personnel as project staffing evolves.
• Foster a culture of professionalism, safety, communication, and accountability throughout the project team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or Superintendent managing ground-up commercial or multifamily construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale residential communities, multifamily developments, or multi-building construction projects.
• Proven success managing multiple subcontractors, concurrent work fronts, project schedules, inspections, quality control, and project turnover.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams simultaneously.
• Experience collaborating with Project Managers, architects, engineers, owners, and municipal inspectors.
• OSHA 30 Certification required or ability to obtain immediately.
• Florida commercial or multifamily construction experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management platforms is preferred.
