Job Description Summary

Quality Lead Technician is responsible for assuring inspection and testing of manufacturing processes and products to ensure the product quality. The process Quality Lead Technician will work with a variety of inspections, test equipment’s, methods, manufacturing processes, and products. The goal is to guarantee that procedures are being followed and documented to maintain product quality and records traceability. In addition, the process Quality Lead Technician will support nonconformance process including nonconforming product containments, investigations and dispositions.

Job Summary:

Quality Lead Technician is responsible for assuring inspection and testing of manufacturing processes and products to ensure the product quality. The process Quality Lead Technician will work with a variety of inspections, test equipment’s, methods, manufacturing processes, and products. The goal is to guarantee that procedures are being followed and documented to maintain product quality and records traceability. In addition, the process Quality Lead Technician will support nonconformance process including nonconforming product containments, investigations and dispositions.

3rd shift: Monday-Friday (10pm-6.30am)

Job Responsibilities:(Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

  • Provides leadership in a team environment.  Trains QA Technicians & designated associates on proper quality topics.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing s to direct completion and investigation of non-conforming product.

  • Monitor production processing via random QA audits

  • Conduct necessary quality inspections using proper equipment and techniques

  • Perform statistical analysis on selected data / processes and report findings

  • Assist with problem solving – root cause analysis – corrective actions

  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results

  • Complete raw material inspections to assure that they are complying to required specifications

  • Assist verifying that outgoing products are meeting with required specifications

  • Ensure that production designated personnel is following proper procedures for in process inspections

  • Assist with training and instructions for production designated personnel in QA measuring procedures

  • Development and maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions

  • Audit and maintenance of compliance to required quality management system standards

  • Provide management with detailed quality reports as required – daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

  • Other duties as required by quality management

Education and Experience:

  • Technical degree

  • 3+ year of Quality Assurance experience.

  • Leadership experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work with little supervision

  • Experience enforcing SOP and product specifications

  • Knowledge in Excel

  • Strong mathematics skills

  • GMP / GDP knowledge

  • Knowledge on Quality criterias and standard regulations

  • Experience with measuring equipment

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting / Carrying

  • Standing / Walking

  • Manufacturing
