The Lead Early Education Teacher at Bayview’s Intergenerational Childcare Center (ICC) is part of a unique, nonprofit program within a continuing care retirement community. This role leads classroom operations, guiding teaching staff while creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children.

Our intergenerational model offers one-of-a-kind learning experiences, where children build empathy and social skills through shared activities like art, gardening, and storytelling with residents. The Lead Teacher plays a key role in shaping and implementing these experiences, ensuring they align with both early childhood best practices and the center’s mission.

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly, and stimulating classroom and center environment, including monitoring safety, supporting daily operations, and ensuring compliance with ICC and Bayview policies, as well as licensing regulations. The Lead Teacher also serves as a key point of communication with families, providing updates on children’s progress and development.

Success in this role requires a collaborative, relationship-focused leader who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator.
