DPP is seeking a Lead UI Developer for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.Work location: Fully onsite in State College, PADuration: 12 monthsTerms: W2 contract to hirePosition summary:
- As a Lead UI Developer, you will serve as the technical anchor for our client’s DocFinity enterprise content management solution.
- In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and engineering, taking full ownership of the product lifecycle from initial requirements through deployment.
- As the organization transitions its interface to React, you will act as a primary architect, balancing the implementation of modern front-end standards with the strategic maintenance of legacy systems.
- You will drive UX/UI decisions, mentor team members, and ensure the enterprise software remains intuitive, accessible, and high performing.
- Modern React.js and core principles, including state management and hooks
- Accessibility and WCAG guidelines
- Automated testing libraries and principles (Cypress, Argos-CI, Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, Chai, Karma)
- Experiencing leading, mentoring, or driving a product / feature through a full SDLC
- DevOps experience - tools such as Azure, Github Actions, Docker, Gradle and AWS
- Experience with enterprise software, large datasets, complex queries using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, and
- performance optimizations
- Experience with wireframe or prototype tools, or conducting user research and usability testing
- Experience using MaterialUI (MUI) for building responsive and accessible UI components
- Demonstrates strong communication skills; gathers requirements and presents features to stakeholders.
- Applies design thinking and creativity to support UX decisions.
- Leads and drives products through the full SDLC.
- You’ll join a 10-person development team made up of 7 developers, a UX Designer, an SDET, and a Technical Writer. This role is one of the developer positions on the team.
- The team works in one-week agile sprints and uses a Kanban board to manage work. Together, they support and enhance DocFinity, an enterprise content management (ECM) product.
- The environment is fast-moving and collaborative. The team makes decisions quickly, adapts to changing priorities, and stays closely connected using Google Workspace tools.
- Although this is an on-site role, the team is distributed and works together virtually every day. Your manager and two developers—including another UI developer—are based in the Pennsylvania office alongside you.
- 4 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
- OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
- OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)
