Who are we? An Introduction
Rytech of the Midlands is seeking an experienced Lead Water Mitigation Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for overseeing water damage restoration projects, leading field technicians, and ensuring that all work meets Rytech’s high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the restoration industry, including water mitigation, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and demolition practices.

As a Lead Water Mitigation Technician at Rytech Restoration of The Midlands, you'll take the reins on water mitigation projects from start to finish, making a significant difference in the lives of those affected by water damage. You'll be at the forefront, performing hands-on water extraction and structural drying, while effectively supervising a team of technicians to uphold our high standards of quality and customer service. Your role will involve meticulous documentation to ensure accuracy, an unwavering commitment to safety compliance, and delivering exceptional field training to your team. You'll serve as the vital link, providing timely project updates to customers, insurance personnel, and management, fostering clear communication and trust.

Are you the Lead Water Mitigation Technician we're looking for?
To excel as a Lead Water Mitigation Technician at Rytech Restoration of The Midlands, you'll need a solid foundation in water mitigation and restoration practices, with prior experience being essential. While IICRC certifications such as WRT are strongly preferred, additional credentials like ASD, AMRT, FSRT, or OCT can enhance your qualifications. Strong leadership and crew management abilities are crucial, enabling you to effectively guide your team through challenging situations.
You must also be physically fit, capable of lifting 50+ lbs, and comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and other demanding environments. Proficiency with moisture meters, hand tools, power tools, and restoration equipment is necessary for success in this hands-on role. Finally, excellent communication and documentation skills will enable you to provide outstanding customer service and keep all stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Prior experience in water mitigation or restoration required; experience in fire, mold, or demolition preferred.
- IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, OCT preferred (WRT strongly preferred)
- Strong leadership and crew management abilities.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces and other physically demanding environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR (Will be required to provided 10-year driving record for review).
- Competent with moisture meters and tools power tools and restoration equipment.
- Excellent communication ,customer service and documentation skills.
