Fuel your passion
The Digital Manufacturing Program Leader is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional programs that enable advanced manufacturing through data engineering, AI/ML, and enterprise system integration. This role operates at the intersection of manufacturing operations, digital technology, and enterprise systems (MES, PLM, ERP), translating business objectives into scalable, production-ready digital solutions.
This position requires a hands-on technical leader who drives execution, ensures delivery excellence, and builds strong partnerships across manufacturing, IT, and leadership teams. The role is critical in advancing digital manufacturing capabilities and enabling measurable improvements in performance, efficiency, and traceability.
As a Digital Manufacturing Program Leader, you will be responsible for:
Leading strategic digital manufacturing programs that drive efficiency, quality, throughput, and revenue growth across shop floor, engineering, and enterprise systems.
Translating manufacturing business objectives into actionable digital, data, and AI initiatives with clearly defined performance outcomes.
Establishing program governance, delivery frameworks, and performance metrics while managing scope, schedule, budget, and risks.
Owning end-to-end integration across MES, PLM, and ERP systems, ensuring data consistency, traceability, and alignment with manufacturing and engineering processes.
Defining and governing integration patterns, including APIs, event-driven architectures, and data pipelines for production, quality, and asset data.
Leading the application and scaling of data engineering, machine learning, and AI solutions for manufacturing use cases such as process optimization, quality analytics, and production intelligence.
Ensuring AI/ML solutions progress from proof of concept to production-ready deployment embedded within manufacturing workflows.
Partnering with data platform teams to establish MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, and performance monitoring.
Driving alignment and accountability with software vendors and system integrators across architecture, delivery, and performance expectations.
Leading System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and overseeing go-live readiness, deployment, and operational transition.
Communicating program updates, risks, and outcomes effectively to senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor across manufacturing and technology stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
Have strong experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments, with direct exposure to shop floor operations.
Have proven experience leading complex digital manufacturing or enterprise transformation programs.
Have hands-on expertise in data engineering, analytics, or AI/ML solutions, with the ability to deliver beyond conceptual stages into production environments.
Have experience integrating enterprise systems such as MES, PLM, and ERP within manufacturing operations.
Have demonstrated experience managing testing cycles (SIT/UAT), deployment, and operational handover.
Have strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills with the ability to influence across functions.
Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, or Analytics.
Experience with Industry 4.0, digital thread, or smart factory initiatives.
Familiarity with OT/IT architectures, industrial connectivity, and edge data solutions.
Experience deploying AI/ML in regulated or safety-critical manufacturing environments.
Exposure to cybersecurity and compliance considerations within industrial systems.
