Leadership-Role School Social Worker - Full-Time

As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is currently seeking a full-time School Social Worker for a leadership-focused, in-person position supporting K–8 students with high needs. This position is for the current school year.

School Social Worker Position Details:

• This role will supervise members of the Student Support Team, including Counselors and Social Workers, while also providing direct student support
• This is a leadership position, and prior leadership or supervisory experience is required
• Candidates must hold an active LSW or LCSW license
• Full-time (37.5 hours per week) and is scheduled to start 8/24.

School Social Worker Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Active LSW or LCSW license
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Experience supporting K–8 students, preferably students with higher behavioral, social, or emotional needs
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

School Social Worker Responsibilities May Include:

• Supervising Counselors and Social Workers on the Student Support Team
• Meeting regularly with team members to review caseloads, schedules, goals, documentation, and student progress
• Supporting the development and delivery of individual and small-group counseling sessions
• Managing and supporting 504 plans
• Ensuring compliance with special education counseling needs
• Collaborating with Special Education and Culture & Climate teams to support students receiving or requiring Tier III services
• Serving as a liaison with outside providers and agencies, including IBHS and CGRC
• Providing individual and group counseling to students
• Developing intervention strategies for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, families, and outside providers to develop comprehensive student support plans
• Providing crisis intervention for urgent mental health or safety concerns
• Maintaining accurate and confidential student records and documentation
