Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking to fill an open position for a Leak Tester who can make TIG Welding repairs on fuel tanks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Perform leak testing on diesel fuel tanks and hydraulic reservoirs in accordance with established work instructions and quality standards
- Identify the source of any leaks found and perform Tig Welding repairs on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to correct them
- Read and interpret prints to verify tanks and reservoirs conform to specifications
- Follow written work instructions accurately and consistently
- Use basic hand tools and apply working knowledge of various thread pitches and thread types when inspecting and servicing fitting and ports
- Maintain accurate and complete records of test results
- Report identified defects or recurring issues to Quality and Production as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
