Under general supervision, ensure the proper ownership obtained through acquisitions of all interest types, as well as the continued maintenance and accuracy of interest acquired in company operated and non-operated wells.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
Analyze, interpret, and maintain leases and contracts for operated and non-operated properties
Prepare and input lease and acquisition data information into Land System using prospect files, contracts/agreements, assignments, and title opinions
Monitor well production and coordinate with other departments to proactively avoid loss of acreage
Review of documents and supporting information to verify obligation payments for surface, rentals, delay rentals, and minimum royalty payments
Determine working interests and burdens associated with interests based on title analysis of deeds, assignments, purchase & sale agreements, probate documents, leases, and royalty agreements
Acts as liaison to Accounting, Land, and Division Orders departments when necessary, communicating effectively
Ensure provisions are accurately identified, obligation payments are met, and keep leases and contracts valid
Research and review multiple data sources to find specific information and then summarize that information
Other duties as assigned by manager
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of five (5+) years of Oil and Gas land industry experience, Permian preferred
Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within Land systems and applications such as: SAP, Quorum, and Drilling Info
Experience working with Indian, State, and Federal leases within the Midland and Delaware basins preferred
