Job Description

Morton is seeking a Legal AI Solutions Lead for a client that is expanding its use of artificial intelligence across a large professional services environment.This individual will play a key role in identifying, designing, testing, and implementing AI solutions that improve legal and business workflows. The position combines hands-on AI solution development with project management, stakeholder engagement, technology evaluation, and user adoption.The ideal candidate brings experience working within a law firm or corporate legal environment, understands how attorneys and legal teams operate, and can translate business challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions. Responsibilities
  • Identify legal and business workflows that could benefit from AI and develop solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.*
  • Design, build, test, and implement AI agents and other AI-enabled solutions for attorneys and business professionals.*
  • Partner directly with attorneys and practice leaders to understand business challenges, scope AI use cases, and develop practical solutions.*
  • Evaluate AI use cases and provide recommendations that support broader organizational AI initiatives.*
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders to understand complex AI-related challenges and translate requirements into actionable solutions.*
  • Collaborate with legal teams, IT, vendors, and other business groups to troubleshoot issues and improve AI solutions.*
  • Identify technical limitations, risks, and opportunities associated with proposed AI use cases.*
  • Develop strategies to increase AI adoption and address technical, workflow, and user experience barriers.*
  • Evaluate new AI capabilities and emerging technologies for compatibility with existing systems and business needs.*
  • Educate attorneys and business professionals on AI functionality, best practices, limitations, and advanced use cases.*
  • Develop concise training materials, FAQs, and other resources supporting AI adoption.*
  • Coordinate user onboarding, testing, and evaluation of new AI technologies and pilot programs.*
  • Analyze pilot results and prepare recommendations for leadership.*
  • Maintain documentation of AI use cases, technical requirements, results, and known limitations.*
  • Manage testing activities, deliverables, milestones, and deadlines across multiple AI initiatives.*
  • Identify trends and recurring issues across AI use cases and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders.*
  • Research enterprise and emerging AI platforms to compare capabilities and potential applications.*
  • Provide input into broader AI technology decisions, including potential opportunities, risks, and technical considerations.*
  • Assist with gathering information related to client inquiries regarding the organization's use of AI.*
  • Prepare qualitative and quantitative summaries demonstrating the progress and impact of AI initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; JD or other advanced degree preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant legal experience may be considered.*
  • 4+ years of experience within a law firm, corporate legal department, or similar legal environment.*
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with artificial intelligence technologies.*
  • Strong understanding of legal workflows and experience working directly with attorneys.*
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business problems and translate them into practical technology or AI solutions.*
  • Experience evaluating, testing, implementing, or supporting AI tools and use cases.*
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and deadlines.*
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across legal, technology, leadership, and administrative teams.*
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.*
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.*
  • Ability to quickly learn and evaluate emerging technologies.*
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.*
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.*
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable receiving feedback and working across organizational boundaries.*
  • Interest in applying generative AI, AI assistants, copilots, and emerging AI technologies to complex professional workflows.*
  • Ability to travel or work outside normal business hours occasionally as business needs require.
