Job Description
A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its Labor & Employment team in Los Angeles. This hybrid role supports busy attorneys handling complex employment litigation matters in both state and federal court. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment.
Hybrid schedule requiring 2.5 days per week in-office (two set in-office days plus rotating Fridays).
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all phases of labor & employment litigation
- Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents and correspondence
- Handle state and federal court filings, including extensive PACER filings
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and case-related scheduling
- Create and edit Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities using Best Authority
- Maintain and organize electronic files within the firm’s document management system
- Coordinate filings, service, and case logistics across multiple matters
- Assist with trial preparation and other administrative litigation support tasks
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of labor & employment litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Minimum of 5 years of federal court filing/PACER experience
- Experience with EEOC filings, workers comp filings, and appeals is a plus
- Strong knowledge of CaseAnywhere
- Experience using Best Authority for TOCs/TOAs
- Familiarity with document management systems, preferably iManage (NetDocuments or similar platforms also considered)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
