Job Description
Our client, a well-established mid-sized law firm in Atlanta, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support five attorneys in the firm’s Healthcare practice group. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a busy and respected practice. The firm offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
Document formatting, typing, editing, and proofreading
Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files
Enter attorney time and assist with billing and expense reports
Manage attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel
Answer phones, take messages, and handle general correspondence
Sort and distribute mail and support day-to-day administrative needs
Interact professionally with attorneys, staff, and clients
Qualifications
3+ years of law firm legal assistant experience (5+ preferred)
Healthcare practice experience is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with iManage and Elite 3E preferred
Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and document formatting skills
Typing speed of 70+ WPM with high accuracy
Ability to work onsite 4–5 days per week and flexibility for occasional overtime
