A well-respected mid-sized Atlanta law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a busy intellectual property practice. This position offers a hybrid schedule after training.
This role will focus on U.S. patent prosecution matters and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both substantive and administrative support responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage patent dockets and monitor deadlines
- Prepare shell patent applications and prosecution-related documents
- Assist with USPTO filings and correspondence
- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents
- Maintain client files and matter records
- Support attorneys with expense reports, scheduling, and other administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of patent prosecution legal assistant experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. patent prosecution procedures
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
