Legal Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Legal Assistant Location: Jacksonville, FlESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be a team-oriented, tech savvy, self-starter who is inquisitive and client focused to support litigation attorneys and Government Relations Advisors in the Jacksonville, Florida office.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:· Calendaring· Scheduling· E-Filing and E-Recording· Document editing, style, formatting· Some time entry· Proforma processing. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications :• 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal secretary in a position involving significant decision making responsible. • Ability to type 65 wpm. • Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Outlook. • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. • Good organizational skills. • Excellent people skills. • This position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops, computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, in a home office as well as an in-person office environment.
• Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds.
• This position is generally performed in a professional office setting; 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% walking.
