Legal Assistant Location: Fresno, CA (North area)Pay: $22-31/hour (depending on experience)Law firm is seeking a Professional and Polished Legal Assistant to join our team! This role is perfect for someone with strong administrative skills, a high level of dependability, and the desire to grow into a Legal Secretary position over time or have already been a Legal Secretary for 2+ years. Pay will depend on experience. Someone with 1-3 years of legal experience as an assistant will be in the $22-$26 range, whereas someone with 2-3 years of Legal Secretary experience supporting 1-2 attorneys exclusively will be in the $25-$31/hour range. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor.*
- Answer and direct phone calls with strong phone etiquette and exceptional customer service.*
- Handle administrative tasks, including fast and accurate typing (50-55 WPM required).*
- Provide support to attorneys and legal staff as you transition into a Legal Screatary role (if starting as Legal Assistant).
- Previous 2-5 years of administrative experience in a professional setting preferred, ideally with 1-3 years already in the legal support field.*
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.*
- Proficient typing skills (50-55 WPM); candidates will be asked to complete a typing assessment.*
- Highly dependable and able to handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.*
- Professional attire and appearance are required.
