Legal Assistant

Job Title: Legal AssistantContract Length: 3 MonthsPay: $23 - $31.36Summary: Our client in NYC is seeking a Legal Assistant who is responsible to review legal and compliance documents, verify required disclosures, and support franchise filing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment. Prior law firm or business experience is a plus, but not required. Bachelor's degree preferred.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review responses to comment letters and confirm requested changes.
• Check seller disclosure forms for "yes” responses and escalate when further review is needed.
• Review advertisements for compliance, including required disclosures.
• Conduct first-line review of franchise filing amendments and communicate changes to examiners.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Reviewing lengthy documents, and reviewing multiple documents at the same time.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and comfort using web-based systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing disclosures.
• Ability to multitask.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage tasks in a high-volume environment and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to work in an office setting and collaborate as part of a team.
• Law firm or business experience helpful but not required.
