Job Description
Mid-sized defense firm is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced, busy team in the Myrtle Beach office. This position is primarily responsible for transcription dictation; saving documents and emails to an online case management system, entering attorney's time and expense reimbursements; scheduling and calendaring of deadlines, meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials for four attorneys; filing; and providing administrative support. Please note this is an in-office position and DOES NOT offer remote or hybrid opportunities.
Qualifications and Competencies:
A minimum of 2 years legal experience preferred;
Prior transcription experience preferred;
Strong organizational skills, time-management, initiative, and attention to detail is required;
Ability to multi-task, effectively set priorities, and manage several projects;
Professional and articulate written and oral communication skills;
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
Familiarity with Juris Suite and i-Manage (electronic document management system) a plus;
