Summary of PositionThe primary duties of the Legal Assistant are to manage and administrate the Company’s various license and compliance matters, corporate books and filings, and to provide overall administrative support to the General Counsel.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManages and administrates the Company’s gaming licensesAdministers the Company’s various licenses, including but not limited to general business licenses, liquor & tobacco, health, etc.Manages the Company’s corporate books and business entity filingsAdministers the Company’s internal monitoring of regulatory compliance, including accountability for reporting and remedying incidents of noncomplianceProvides support on litigation and external information requestsConducts special projects as assignedAssists on all other departmental matters as needed
Education & Experience 2+ years of experience in legal support, with an emphasis in licensing and/or business entity administration College education or Paralegal Certificate preferred, but not requiredExperience working in a corporate legal department
Other QualificationsActive Notary Public status, or the ability to become one upon startingStrong commitment to ethics and professionalismHighly competent in word processing and spreadsheetsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skillsEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to maintain strict levels of confidentialitySkilled in creative problem solvingAbility to manage multiple projects under deadline pressureCapable of occasional travel for company business
