Job Description

Paralegal / Legal Assistant – Foreclosures & Sheriff Sales

Are you an organized legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join a high-volume legal team supporting foreclosure, sheriff sale, and real estate matters. If you enjoy keeping cases on track, managing deadlines, and working collaboratively, we'd love to hear from you.

️ What You'll Do

  • Manage foreclosure and sheriff sale files from intake through completion.
  • Prepare legal pleadings, correspondence, and supporting documentation for attorney review.
  • Review title searches and property-related documentation.
  • Track case costs, expenses, and reimbursements.
  • Coordinate filings and communications with courts, sheriff's offices, recording offices, and other government agencies.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files.
  • Assist with reporting and administrative projects.
  • Provide additional legal and administrative support as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
  • Experience handling foreclosure and sheriff sale matters.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using legal case management software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with real estate settlements or commercial real estate closings.
  • Knowledge of title searches and related documentation.
  • Previous experience in a law firm handling foreclosure, collections, or real estate matters.
