Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated workers' compensation law Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our defense law firm. In this role, you will provide assistance to lawyers, ensuring they are able to carry out their duties. You will communicate with clients, compile case materials, and conduct research. The ideal candidate is hardworking and detail-oriented. Should have a minimum 2 years experience. Workers' Compensation experience if at least two years is mandatory. The more experience, the higher the pay.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients and witnesses
- Prepare case documents such as MSC statements, trial exhibits, obtain QME panel lists, schedule medical exams, analyze documents, subpoena records and work in EAMS
- Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review
- Monitor due dates
- Maintain and update documentation
- Provide general administrative support
Qualifications
- Previous mandatory experience of at least 3 years or more as a Legal Assistant or paralegal at a workers compensation law firm
- Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system in workers' compensation
- Highly organized with document management experience
Comfortable Microsoft Office, EAMS and Merus
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
