Job Description:

Patterson Companies is looking for a Legal Intern to join our Commercial Transactions team!

The intern will participate in meaningful work, along with making contributions to team efforts in our fast paced, people first corporate environment. This internship will be a hybrid position with working both remotely and on site at our corporate office located in Mendota Heights, MN.

Responsibilities:

• Legal Intern will be exposed to the general corporate commercial transaction practice of law.  
• Drafting, redlining and negotiating contracts. 
• Assisting with managing the contract management process. 
• Reviewing documents and responding to business questions. 
• Assisting the Legal team with other duties as needed.  
• Supporting various business units and responding to their questions. 
• Presenting to various teams across the organization 

Required Qualifications:

• Current law student with two years completed preferred.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Highly collaborative with a desire to learn in a professional environment 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.  Superior attention to detail and accuracy, organizational skills. 
• High level of personal productivity, quick to execution that gets great results. 
• Encourages and acts on personal critical feedback, high level of self-awareness. 
• Practices what is best for the company in decisions and actions. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-performance work environment. 
• Ability to use a computer workstation for an extended period. 
• Business skills: how to respond to legal questions from a variety of leaders and business units in a professional, timely and effective manner based on best for business and values.

The starting pay for this role is $20 - $25 per hour.
