Legal Billing Coordinator

Join a prominent NYC insurance defense firm located in Midtown Manhattan as a key contributor in charge of financial operations. This hybrid position entails direct collaboration with the Firm Administrator. As part of your responsibilities, you will develop comprehensive financial documentation, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and general ledger insights. You will lead the billing team to ensure seamless and efficient billing procedures and manage both accounts payable and receivable to optimize financial transaction accuracy. A pivotal task will be handling various reconciliations within QuickBooks and assisting in the financial closing processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Engage with attorneys and support staff to refine billing and timekeeping strategies. Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and harmonize bonus calculations with payroll processes.

Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related area, alongside over five years of specialized experience within an insurance defense context. Mastery of tools such as QuickBooks, Clio Manage, and the Microsoft Office suite is essential, coupled with a strong grasp of GAAP principles.
