Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Billing Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the entire billing process, ensuring all invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with client and firm guidelines.
- Utilizing various billing software, such as 3E, eBilling, Intapp, Entile Enterprise, and BillBlast, to manage and streamline billing operations.
- Reviewing and editing pre-bills in response to attorney and secretary requests.
- Working closely with attorneys, legal secretaries, and clients to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Assisting in the preparation and processing of electronic bills in a variety of formats, depending on client specifications.
- Providing proforma invoice drafts for attorneys, making necessary adjustments as directed.
- Monitoring the status of unbilled fee and cost entries, following up with appropriate parties to ensure timely billing.
- Collaborating with the accounting team to maintain accurate and up-to-date client accounts and billing records.
- Participating in the month-end closing activities and generating relevant reports for management review.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Billing Coordinator position must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in legal billing or a similar role within the legal industry.
- Proven experience with billing software such as 3E, eBilling, Intapp, Entile Enterprise, and BillBlast.
- Strong understanding of the billing process and legal terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
