Legal Billing Specialist Our client located in Houston, TX is in need of a Legal Billing Specialist for a 2 month contract period. This is an in office opportunity.Company Overview A mid-size law firm undergoing an internal accounting and billing transitionLegal Billing Specialist Role: This role provides hands-on support within the firms legal billing and accounting function during a transitional period. The specialist will assist with day-to-day billing operations, timekeeping support, invoicing, and account maintenance while the internal team restructures. The position requires prior law firm billing experience and the ability to quickly integrate into established legal billing systems and workflows. ResponsibilitiesSupport legal billing cycles and invoice preparationProcess billing corrections and adjustmentsAssist with client billing inquiries and account maintenanceWork within legal timekeeping and billing systems (LMS or similar)Support AR/AP-related administrative workflowsEnsure accuracy and timeliness of billing submissionsCollaborate with internal finance and legal operations teams during transition periodLegal Billing Specialist Background Profile:Prior experience in a law firm billing or legal accounting environmentStrong understanding of legal billing cycles and invoicing processesExperience with legal billing or timekeeping systems (LMS or equivalent)Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced, transition-heavy environmentComfortable working independently with minimal onboarding timeMid-size to large law firm experienceExposure to AR/AP functions in a legal services setting
