Easy Apply now by clicking the "Apply Now" button and sending us your resume.Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per yearA bit about us:The Billing and Collections Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm’s client billing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing from prebill review through invoice transmission, mailing, and e-billing submission. This role works closely with the Billing and Collections Manager to support attorneys and staff while delivering a high level of client service. - Manage the complete billing process, including the preparation of pre-bills, invoices, and statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm policies and client specifications.
- Utilize e-billing systems such as Elite or Aderant, and e-billing hub to process client invoices efficiently.
- Monitor collections for attorneys, identifying any issues and working with attorneys and clients to resolve them promptly.
- Prepare and distribute monthly reports detailing billing and collection activities to senior management.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other staff members to ensure that all billing information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Handle any billing inquiries from clients, providing clear and accurate information in a timely manner.
- Assist with other accounting tasks as needed, demonstrating a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal billing, preferably within a law firm.
- Proficiency in e-billing systems such as Elite or Aderant, and e-billing hub.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other staff members.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
