Job DetailsOur client, a respected and established law firm, is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join its accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will oversee the firm's complete billing cycle while working closely with attorneys, leadership, and administrative staff to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant client billing.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong law firm billing experience who enjoys managing a high-volume workload and providing exceptional internal client service.Responsibilities:

• Maintain attorney, client, matter, and fee schedule information within the billing system.
• Coordinate client and matter setup.
• Monitor attorney and paralegal time entry and ensure billing deadlines are met.
• Review time entries for accuracy, compliance, and proper billing narratives.
• Prepare and distribute prebills.
• Process billing revisions, write-offs, discounts, and billing adjustments.
• Generate and distribute final client invoices.
• Respond to attorney and client billing inquiries.
• Prepare attorney fee applications and supporting documentation.
• Produce billing reports, realization reports, and management reporting.
• Assist with billing software administration and workflow improvements.
• Support billing policy development and process enhancements.
• Maintain billing records and documentation.
• Partner closely with the Controller on special projects and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience.
• Legal billing experience.
• Experience working in a high-volume law firm environment.
• Experience with SurePoint LMS+, Elite, Aderant, Juris, ProLaw, Tabs3 or similar legal billing software.
• Strong understanding of legal billing practices.
• Advanced attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
