We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, wehave an Ohio Legal Collections Attorney opportunity with our client who is a dynamic and expanding law firm dedicated to excellence in legal services. We are excited to invite passionate and motivated attorneys licensed in Kentucky, West Virginia, and/or Ohio to join our client's creditor's rights practice. As a highly respected and growing national firm based in Phoenix, Arizona, their Financial Services Central Division maintains offices in Solon, Ohio and Ft. Wright, Kentucky, with plans to open an office in West Virginia soon.Your specific duties will include:
- Represent clients at hearings in multiple counties
- Handle large caseload
- Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Manage and coordinate with your team
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing to practice law in Ohio; admission in Kentucky and/or West Virginia is a plus.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a law clerk or practicing attorney, preferably in a related area of law.
- Working knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other applicable state and federal regulations governing creditors' rights and collections.
- Experience preferred in Creditors' Rights and Collections related practice.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to courts and legal proceedings throughout Ohio.
- Working knowledge of client software systems and databases, including platforms such as AS400.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal technology platforms.
Pay Rate Range : $80,000 100,000+ DOE, plus full benefits
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
