What We’re Looking For
Distyl is hiring a deal focused legal counsel to work directly with the founders on our most important enterprise agreements.
This is not a traditional in-house legal role. You will be embedded in revenue, operating on the front lines of our most critical deals, leading high-stakes negotiations, shaping commercial strategy, and helping us win enterprise opportunities.
You won’t be reviewing contracts after the fact. You’ll be in the room as deals are formed, partnering with sales and leadership to structure, negotiate, and close.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become exceptional at driving complex deals. Someone who prefers being in negotiations over writing memos, who moves quickly with sound judgment, and who wants to accelerate their trajectory by operating at the center of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead negotiations for Distyl’s most strategic enterprise agreements, including complex 7–8 figure deals
Partner directly with founders and GTM leadership to shape commercial strategy and drive execution
Own deal momentum end-to-end, proactively resolving blockers and accelerating paths to close
Collaborate closely with Sales and executive leadership to improve win rates on high-value, competitive opportunities
Navigate complex negotiations with clarity and sound judgment, simplifying issues and driving aligned outcomes
Who You Are
Required
8–12 years of legal experience, spanning both high-caliber firm training and in-house exposure preferably in a technology company
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
Demonstrated track record as a top performer with strong commercial judgment and business-oriented instincts
Energized by live negotiations, strategic deal-making, and partnering closely with the business,
Thrives in fast-moving, high-ownership environments where ambiguity, urgency, and sound judgment are constant
Motivated by learning, responsibility, and the opportunity to have outsized impact in a growing company

The base salary range for this role is $180K – $250K, depending on experience, location, and level. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for meaningful equity, along with a comprehensive benefits package

Distyl has offices in San Francisco and New York. This role follows a hybrid collaboration model with 3+ days per week (Tuesday–Thursday) in‑office. We can not offer this as a remote opportunity at this time.
