The Legal Counsel will oversee all legal activities in the U.S. market, serving as the key legal advisor to senior management while aligning regional operations with group-wide legal and business strategies. Legal Counsel Role: As the Legal Counsel, youâ??ll be responsible for all legal operations across the U.S., ensuring compliance and managing legal risk across all business functions including sales, funding, marketing, HR, finance, operations, and product development. Serve as the primary legal advisor to executive leadership, providing counsel on corporate governance, M&A, business risk, and strategic transactions. Partner with the Group General Counsel and global legal team to ensure alignment with group-wide strategies and U.S. legal compliance. Lead contract negotiation and drafting for high-value B2B, public sector, and supplier agreements. Manage corporate governance, privacy, information security, AML/KYC, and compliance-related legal matters. Oversee external legal counsel relationships, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality legal services. Support M&A due diligence, funding activities, and strategic partnerships from a U.S. perspective. Collaborate with sales, marketing, HR, finance, IT, and operations to align legal processes with commercial goals. Provide leadership on legal projects and potentially act as board secretary when appointed.
