What you'll be doing

Own core commercial work- Draft, review, negotiate, and simplify complex commercial and technology agreements in support of Pax8's agentic marketplace ecosystem of vendors, partners and customers.

Leverage AI as a force multiplier- Use AI-powered tools to accelerate contract workflows, enhance legal insights, and transform how the legal function operates

Build for scale- Contribute to programmatic, repeatable legal approaches that support a growing global marketplace and high-volume partner interactions

Collaborate deeply- Partner with commercial, product, and leadership teams to deliver practical, high-impact legal solutions

Drive strategic outcomes- Translate business goals into actionable legal roadmaps aligned with measurable outcomes

Streamline execution- Remove friction, reduce dependencies, and enable faster business decision-making

Stay ahead of change- Monitor legal, regulatory, and AI developments to guide the business proactively

Your impact

Your expertise will directly influence how Pax8 scales its global commerce function. By combining strong commercial legal foundations with emerging AI capabilities, you'll help transform how we engage with partners-moving toward a more scalable, intelligent, and programmatic legal operating model.

What you'll bring

️ Proven commercial legal excellence- Strong expertise in negotiating, drafting, and advising on complex commercial agreements, including key areas such as limitation of liability, indemnification, and risk allocation

️ Deep understanding of data and tech frameworks- Familiarity with data processing concepts, privacy considerations, and regulations such as GDPR, alongside broader cloud and software ecosystem knowledge

️ Commercial instincts and judgement- Confidence navigating "table stakes" legal issues such as privacy, security and commercial risk

️ AI curiosity and growth mindset- Excited to embrace AI tools, experiment with new technologies, and build capability in an evolving legal landscape

️ Impact-driven thinking- Ability to apply both your legal expertise and AI exposure to drive meaningful change across the legal function

️ Builder mentality- Experience or enthusiasm for creating scalable, programmatic approaches to engaging with stakeholders and trading partners

Salary and benefits

Qualified candidates can expect  salary between $190K and $230K depending on experience
