Join us and become an EXPERT!Position Summary: Reporting to the company’s Vice President - General Counsel, this role offers the opportunity to work in a broad-based, in-house legal position that supports the business’s daily operations and long-term goals. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance across a variety of practice areas, working closely with colleagues in the legal department, internal stakeholders in other departments, and outside legal counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

The Legal Counsel IV is expected to possess at least six years of experience handling a combination of the following matters:

Transactional Work: Draft, negotiate, and provide post-execution support for a wide-range of business-to-business transactions, including:

• Construction contracts;

• Real estate leases;

• Asset purchase agreements;

• Software licensing agreements;

• Marketing agreements; and

• Non-disclosure agreements

Employment Law: Advise HR professionals and business managers on employment-related issues such as:

• Employee misconduct investigations;

• Employee handbook drafting and enforcement;

• Background checks and payroll practices; and

• Leave requests and workplace accommodation

​Dispute Resolution and Litigation Management:

• Resolve pre-litigation claims brought by customers, business partners, and former employees;
• Oversee and manage outside legal counsel in active litigation matters

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• At least six years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Practical, business-minded approach to legal risk-assessment and problem-solving
