Job Description
Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hourDuration: 5 MonthsWork Mode: HybridSummary:
- Responsible for quality assurance testing for the Legal Bill Analysis Center of Excellence (LBACOE).
- Conduct expert peer reviews of invoice analysts’ work using specialized legal expertise.
- Engage in written communications with law firm vendors to resolve disputed invoice adjustments.
- Support appeals mediation efforts and document expert-to-expert discourse for client review.
- Provide guidance to business unit partners regarding issues or opportunities within the LBA process.
- Conduct reviews of LBACOE Legal Invoice Analysts’ line item adjustments for quality assurance.
- Verify compliance with legal billing guidelines by law firms and vendors.
- Ensure accuracy of UTBMS task codes applied to invoice line items.
- Independently make further adjustments to invoice line items as necessary.
- Document reasons for additional adjustments, identifying billing guideline violations.
- Resolve law firm appeals by organizing and addressing requests for reconsideration.
- Juris Doctor (JD) or LLM required.
- Experience in law firm or related specialized legal expertise.
