Job Description
Job Title: Legal Receptionist Location: Atlanta, GA (onsite) Duration: 12+Month (Temp to Perm) Mon-Fri, 8am -5pm Seeking a customer service-focused professional to support a legal environment by handling reception, hospitality, administrative, print/copy, and mail duties. The ideal candidate will have law firm experience, provide exceptional customer service, work well under pressure, and be flexible and willing to assist with various office needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet and professionally assist all visitors, employees, clients, law partners, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls using professional phone etiquette.
- Schedule and prepare meeting rooms with required supplies, beverages, and video conferencing equipment.
- Perform reception, hospitality, print/copy, and mail duties as needed.
- Provide light clerical and administrative support, including document preparation, filing, calendar management, appointment scheduling, and meeting coordination.
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence from draft or dictated text as required.
- Assist with managing calendars and meeting deadlines.
- Monitor attorney and staff whereabouts to appropriately handle calls, visitors, and questions.
- Serve as a firm concierge by assisting guests, clients, and staff with local information such as restaurants and coffee shops.
- Maintain a professional, clean, and organized reception area and workspace.
- Maintain proper visitor and guest security procedures.
- Order and organize office supplies and maintain supply rooms and closets.
- Provide light hospitality services, including coffee, water, and ordering food and drinks.
- Build professional relationships with clients and employees while learning and supporting the firm s culture and expectations.
- Participate in company, community service, philanthropic, and firm initiatives as required.
- Provide value-added services as approved by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Two years of related business experience preferred.
- Strong preference for administrative experience in a law firm or legal environment.
- Associate or Bachelor s degree preferred.
- Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to support reception, hospitality, print/copy, and mail functions.
- No extensive standing, walking, or lifting requirements.
