Immediate need for a talented Legal Records/Coding Clerk – Expert (Non-Attorney Legal Support Staff). This is a 08 Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Sioux Falls, SD (Onsite). - Provide legal support across various legal operations and administrative functions.
- Support activities related to:
- Legal operations
- Legal technology
- Budget and expense tracking
- Risk and controls
- Litigation
- Discovery
- Settlements
- General legal administration
- Handle multiple work requests from different stakeholders while meeting strict deadlines.
- Administer established legal procedures and processes.
- Analyze information and prepare reports for review by senior legal team members.
- Extract and organize data from legal documents and records.
- Maintain accurate legal documentation and records.
- Assess potential risks in business decisions while protecting the firm's reputation, client interests, and assets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
- Exercise sound ethical judgment in all business activities.
- Identify, escalate, manage, and report control and compliance issues as required.
- Must have skills: - Must have 1 years of experience.
- Experience working in one or more of the following environments:
- Corporate Legal Department
- Law Firm
- Financial Services
- Consulting Firm
- Technology Company
- Related professional industry
- Knowledge of legal terminology, customs, and business practices.
- Experience handling legal documents and legal records.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- PDF applications
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Legal records management experience.
- Data extraction and document review experience.
- Knowledge of legal compliance and risk management processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal teams.
