We partner closely with our clients to deliver high-quality talent efficiently, leveraging disciplined sourcing, strong candidate engagement, and data-driven execution.Position OverviewConstellation Search Group is seeking a Legal Recruiter to identify, engage, and place top legal talent across law firms, corporate legal departments, and related organizations. This position is part of a staffing agency environment and is responsible for managing the full recruiting lifecycle across multiple client searches, while building strong talent pipelines and delivering a high-quality candidate experience.The ideal candidate brings legal recruiting experience within a staffing agency and understands how to manage client-driven searches, balance multiple requisitions, and assess attorneys, paralegals, compliance professionals, and other legal support talent. This individual will partner closely with internal leadership and clients to align search strategy with hiring needs, market conditions, and placement priorities.Core ResponsibilitiesLegal Talent Sourcing & Market Research
- Source and identify qualified legal professionals, including attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, compliance professionals, and other specialized talent.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines using recruiting platforms, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
- Conduct market research to understand talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive hiring conditions within the legal space.
- Build targeted search strategies for open roles based on practice area, experience level, and client or business needs.
- Engage candidates through professional, compelling outreach that accurately reflects the opportunity and employer brand.
- Conduct candidate screenings to evaluate legal experience, practice area alignment, compensation expectations, career goals, and overall fit.
- Maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing updates, feedback, and guidance as appropriate.
- Represent roles and opportunities with accuracy, professionalism, and attention to confidentiality.
- Manage active legal searches in a staffing agency environment by organizing candidate pipelines, prioritizing outreach, and advancing qualified candidates across multiple client openings.
- Prepare candidate summaries and present qualified talent to internal stakeholders or clients in a timely manner.
- Coordinate interview logistics, follow-up communication, and offer-related discussions to support successful placements.
- Maintain accurate records, candidate notes, and search activity within the applicant tracking system or CRM.
- Partner with internal leadership, hiring managers, and clients to understand role requirements, hiring priorities, and candidate profiles.
- Refine recruiting strategies based on search progress, candidate feedback, and market intelligence.
- Contribute to best practices, process improvements, and knowledge sharing across the recruiting team, including the thoughtful use of open-source AI tools to support sourcing, research, outreach preparation, and workflow efficiency.
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, with prior staffing agency experience required and legal recruiting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting for legal roles such as attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, compliance professionals, or other related talent.
- Proficiency with sourcing tools, applicant tracking systems, and professional networking platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Strong understanding of the legal talent market, hiring processes, and candidate evaluation best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple searches, maintain organization, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with open-source AI tools and the ability to use them appropriately to support research, sourcing strategy, candidate outreach, and day-to-day recruiting efficiency is preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to assess candidate motivations and fit.
- A proactive, resourceful approach to problem-solving and search strategy.
