This Role

We’re hiring an experienced TA Specialist to own hiring for attorneys across Norm Law. This is a full cycle role, helping identify, engage, and close top legal candidates at all levels. Norm Law is in a period of rapid, intentional growth — we're hiring with urgency and with standards, and those two things have to coexist. The TA Specialist we bring on needs to be someone who can move fast without cutting corners on quality, and who thinks as carefully about how we scale as they do about any individual hire.

You will work directly with law firm leadership and practice group heads to define hiring needs, build out recruiting infrastructure, and develop relationships with passive and active candidates. We’re building something new and looking for someone who knows the legal talent markets and can tell a compelling story about where law is going.

In this role, you will:

• Own full-cycle recruiting - sourcing and screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding.

• Partner with firm leadership and practice group leads to define role requirements and candidate profiles for partner and associate hires.

• Build sourcing strategies to reach passive candidates: lateral partners, BigLaw associates, and lawyers with relevant practice backgrounds.

• Build, iterate, and scale recruiting processes tailored to a high-growth startup environment.

• Develop and manage relationships with legal search firms and recruiting agencies where appropriate.

• Drive a candidate experience that reflects the quality and intentionality of the firm.

• Track pipeline metrics and provide leadership with clear, honest reads on market conditions and hiring progress.

• Help shape Norm Law's employer brand and candidate pitch in the legal market.

Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter in legal or professional services.

• Familiarity with how law firms hire - lateral partner processes, associate pipeline, etc.

• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and moving quickly.

• Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building from scratch.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross functional partners.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience at a law firm, legal search firm, or in-house legal recruiting function.

• Exposure to AI, LegalTech, or emerging legal practice areas.

• Familiarity with Ashby.

Comp and Benefits

$120,000 - $160,000 per year plus equity

The range displayed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills (as uncovered during the interview process), experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed here reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity or benefits. We offer a competitive salary along with equity compensation.
