If you are passionate about transforming communities with a mission-driven organization, then we have the opportunity for you!Reporting to the Manager for Pro Bono & Partnerships, the Coordinator will provide programmatic support, working with the Manager and other key stakeholders, in implementing and maintaining a network of volunteers and partners to advance Global Refuge's ability to provide critical legal services to the populations that we support. In addition to providing administrative support for the Pro Bono & Partnerships team, this position will involve client interaction, outreach to community partners and/or law firms, and may include occasional travel and some work on evenings or weekends.Global Refuge, formerly known as Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS), is a nonprofit serving newcomers seeking safety, support, and a share in the American dream. Please join us as we make a difference in the lives of newcomers.Responsibilities/Duties:Provide administrative and logistical support for the immigration legal services team's pro bono program, including meeting outreach and scheduling, event planning and coordination, agenda creation for activities and events, generating reports, file organization, and note taking during internal and external meetings and events Maintain a database of volunteers, law firms, and community partners Provide general administrative and programmatic support to the legal services and pro bono/partnership team
Work with the manager and senior team members to vet and onboard new volunteers
Identify and attend recruitment or relevant community events to increase network of volunteers and other service providers
Coordinate on- and off-site events and training sessions
Assist in maintaining and distributing training resources, responsible for regularly taking inventory of legal services outreach materials, and properly archiving such materials
Monitor and track related budgets and expenses, assist with the preparation of monthly expense reports
Serve as point of contact for a portfolio of volunteers and/or partners
Answer or escalate general inquiries regarding legal services and the pro bono/partner program
Other duties as assigned.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Experience in the following areas is highly preferred: pro bono or volunteer coordination and community engagement or outreach
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is required; experience working with immigrant populations and knowledge of refugee resettlement and immigration is preferred
Demonstrated fluency in any language of the populations we serve such as, Spanish, Dari/Pashto, Arabic, Haitian Creole, is highly preferred; some portfolios may require fluency in a specific language
High attention to detail, excellent follow up, ability to prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities is required
Ability and willingness to travel 10% and work occasional evenings and weekends
