What's your day like?

As a Legal Specialist onsite daily at our Park East, Grand Rapids location, your role is essential in ensuring efficient processing of various legal requests, including garnishments, levies, and subpoenas. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing the complexities of corporate filings and intellectual property registrations, while diligently tracking pending litigation to assist internal stakeholders with timely updates. The Legal Specialist also plays a vital role in adhering to all regulations, bank policies, and training requirements.

To excel as a Legal Specialist at Mercantile Bank, you will need a solid foundation of 3-5 years of legal or administrative experience, coupled with familiarity with banking systems such as Navigator and Director. The ideal candidate should possess high attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills, enabling you to manage various legal requests and corporate filings effectively. Proficiency in proofing and producing high-quality work is vital, as accuracy is crucial in meeting legal deadlines and compliance standards. This position is 100% in person, located at the Park East Office and does require a personal mobile device for system sign in and emergency procedures.
