About the Role
Ontra is seeking a Temporary Legal Talent Acquisition Specialist, reporting to our Manager, Talent Partners, to support its growing Talent team.
We're looking for someone excited to drive recruiting excellence in a high-growth, competitive environment. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert on legal recruiting, integrating with our Legal Network team to understand their hiring needs, provide insights on market trends, and develop creative strategies to attract and engage talent.

What You'll Do
- Pipeline Building: Independently drive high-volume candidate pipeline; manage application review, utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, drive referral campaigns, and find other creative methods to engage and attract top legal talent (role is 70% outbound)
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own candidate lifecycle and ensure a smooth, efficient and positive candidate experience from start to finish, including coordinating, sourcing, screening, stakeholder management, and hand-off for onboarding; you'll manage 1-3 reqs with an anticipated number of weekly screens around 35-40 once fully ramped
- Subject Matter Expertise: You will be the go-to person for all things legal recruiting, and have ideas on how to attract lawyers to our unique, remote Legal Network openings
What You'll Bring
- Experience: 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience within a high-volume agency environment; experience sourcing and hiring lawyers required.
- Tech Savvy: Working knowledge of recruiting technologies and sourcing tools (e.g., Greenhouse or Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and GSuite)
- Communication: Ability to effectively connect, engage, and communicate with stakeholders across the business as well as legal candidates at all levels
- Creative: Ability to think strategically, intuitively solve problems, and adapt quickly to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and priorities
- Competitive & Goal-Motivated: Driven by deadlines and energized by meeting and exceeding targets; you have a bias toward action and are excited by the opportunity to build something
