Level 2 Emergency Medicine Physician (ER)Location: Claremore, OK
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for a Level 2 ER in Claremore, Oklahoma. This role offers a dynamic environment serving a combined 200+ patients per day across the Emergency Department and Urgent Care. Ideal candidates are Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (Family Medicine with strong ED experience also considered).
Assignment Details
Location: Claremore, OK
Facility Type: Level 2 Emergency Department
Schedule:
Primarily day shifts with some nights required
Typical shifts: 7a–7p, 8a–8p, 10a–10p, 11a–11p, 12p–12a, and 7p–7a
Patient Volume: ~200+ patients per 24-hour period (ED + UC combined)
Average Census: 16–22 patients per physician (varies by acuity)
Beds: 33 total (13 ER beds, 20 Urgent Care beds)
Coverage: Double physician coverage
Requirements
Licensure: Active Oklahoma Medical License (MD or DO)
Board Certification: Emergency Medicine preferred; Family Medicine with strong ER experience accepted
Certifications:BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA required)
Experience: Minimum 2 years in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care setting
Systems: Proficiency in Cerner EHR
Other: Must be flexible with days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Support & Environment
Backup Coverage:
24/7 Pediatrics and Hospitalist in-house
On-call support: Orthopedics, STEMI call, ENT, Podiatry, Nephrology (no inpatient dialysis), OB, and Behavioral Health
Caseload: Full range of emergency cases, treating neonates to adults with both acute and chronic conditions
Expected Productivity: 2.5–3 patients per hour
