Job Description: Level 2 Radiology CT Tech
We are seeking a professional and friendly Level 2 Radiology CT Technician to join our team. As a Radiology CT Tech, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality medical images to assist in patient diagnosis and care. Your expertise in handling medical imaging equipment, coupled with your compassionate approach to patient interaction, will make a significant impact in our healthcare facility.
Location: Tahlequah OK
Duration: 11/04 - 12/14/24 Note; this is a six week engagement
Key Responsibilities:
• Medical Imaging: Operate medical imaging equipment to produce images of specific body parts from different angles and generate cross-sectional images using computer technology.
• Order Interpretation: Accurately interpret orders provided by physicians or other prescribing medical professionals.
• Patient Communication: Clearly explain the Rad/CT scan procedures to patients, ensuring they understand what will happen during the imaging process.
• Patient Positioning: Properly position patients to obtain the necessary images for accurate diagnosis.
• Contrast Administration: Administer IVs containing contrast dyes to enhance imaging quality.
• Image Examination: Review and assess images to ensure they are usable and provide clear diagnostic information.
• Patient Records: Update and maintain accurate patient medical information.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain Rad/CT scan equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Inventory Management: Monitor supply inventory and place orders for restocks as needed.
Work Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 6:30 am – 3:30 pm
Qualifications:
• Pediatric experience required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required
• Radiology/CT registry preferred but not required
