Description
Provide essential behavioral health screening and assessment services for military personnel at Fort Bliss. Support service members' mental health readiness for deployment and successful reintegration post-deployment.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral health screenings using COCOM-approved tools
- Assess service members scoring moderate to high on BH screening instruments
- Determine need for continued counseling or treatment
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Make clinical decisions regarding deployment eligibility
- Consult with commanders within HIPAA guidelines
- Document all services in electronic health record
Qualifications
- Degree: Master's in Social Work (MSW) from CSWE-accredited program
- License: Current LCSW license (any U.S. state)
- Certification: Current BLS
- Experience: 2+ years post-MSW clinical experience in last 3 years, with at least 1 year in clinical/treatment setting
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required
Work Setting
- High-volume screening and assessment environment
- Collaboration with military leadership and medical staff
- Telehealth capabilities when appropriate
- Monday-Friday operational hours
Essential Skills
- Clinical assessment and decision-making
- Crisis intervention experience
- Understanding of military culture (preferred)
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as team member
