Job Description
We have a new opportunity for a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at the Nellis AFB, NV.
Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 payable with first paycheck!
Core Duties and Tasks: Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services.
Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team.
Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds.
Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology.
Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals.
Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification.
Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment.
Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the MTF.
Work within the interdisciplinary context of the clinic to include engaging with scheduling, responding to emails, facilitating warm hand-offs, and attending huddles.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9 hours between 7:30am and 4:30pm
Rotating limited call and call-back
No holidays or weekends, unless on-call
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW). Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
Experience: Must have 1) one year experience in the last three years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems. 2) at least 12 months of direct hands-on experience in the last 24 months with computer operations, basic word processing, data entry, and use of an automated medical record system.
License: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from any state. -- Please identify state of licensure.
Life Support Certification: Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Base salary: $40.00 - 56.50/Hr as a W2 employee w/full benefits package
