Clinician- Criminal Justice Services
Location & Program: Criminal Justice Services- Brockton, MA, New Bedford MA, or Plymouth, MA. With the ability to travel to all locations when needed, mileage reimbursement.Licensure & Education: Master's Degree, Independent License (LADC1, LICSW or LMHC) preferredStatus: Full Time; primarily Monday-Friday; flexible schedule required to meet the needs of the program; some remote possibility for up to 8hrs weekly

High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Clinician Responsibilities
- Must always present as courteous and professional;
- Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certification necessary for the performance of the position;
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks;
- Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion;
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO Electronic Health Record (EHR);
- Must have the ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner;
- An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs;
- Understand and maintain therapeutic boundaries;
- Reinforce rules in a respectful manner;
- Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations;
- TB/Flu and Covid-19 Assessment;
- Annual Completion of the HPAO crisis de-escalation program;
- CPR Certification;
- Successful completion of all trainings upon hire and annually as required.
Clinician Duties and Responsibilities
- Crisis intervention;
- Maintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to patients - including assessments, individual counseling, discharge and aftercare planning, treatment plans and updates, weekly progress notes, daily groups facilitation, group note completion, and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments;
- Making referrals when appropriate;
- Responsible for each assigned patients' medical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manner;
- Responsible for connecting patients with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and their family access services when appropriate;
- Communicating/involving family in treatment at patients' request;
- Attend and participate in all unit, facility meetings, case conferences, Treatment Team meetings, and mandatory trainings, as directed by the Program Director;
- Responsible for continued education in the field of substance use, mental health and related courses;
- Always utilize standards precautions;
- Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient's rights.
Clinician Qualifications
- Masters degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field; clinical psychology, education-counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, social work.
- Minimum of one year supervised substance use and/or mental health disorder counseling experience preferred;
- Independent License (LADC1, LICSW, or LMHC) preferred.
- (5) years of behavioral health experience;
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple programs and staff;
- Experience with EHR systems;
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
Pay Rate/Range: $70,000 - $80,000
