What You’ll Do

• Conduct mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide psychotherapy via individual and group sessions
• Coordinate discharge planning and post-hospital follow-up care
• Collaborate with facility staff and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care
• Respond to mental health crises and deliver crisis intervention services
• Maintain detailed case records and prepare reports for court or other entities
• Liaise with mental health professionals, social services, and community organizations

What You Need

• Required:
  • Alaska licensure (LCSW or LPC), active or Temporary license
  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Ability to perform diagnostic assessments and provide psychotherapy
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and cultural competence
• Preferred:
  • Experience working within correctional or institutional settings
  • Knowledge of mental health policies, laws, and regulations in Alaska
